About the song... |

“This
is an old one, over 5 years I believe. The song was written about the
person that is now my wife (so yeah, it was a bit ago). When I first met my
wife she was very shy and quiet (thus the name "silence"). I sometimes look
back at those "quiet days" very fondly (you married guys out there know what
I mean...). This was also the first song I experimented with using a capo
on.” |

Silence
Have I finally lost my faith
Full of misunderstanding, too many mistakes
Only one wish, living for a hopeless dream
Waiting for something true, that may not be what it seems
Don't build me up just to let me down
Because it's not the way I want to fall
What I won't do to have you believe
To have you believe in me
Now this looks like it could be real
and I know I've said that before
Maybe I was never looking for what I've found
But there's something about you and I can't walk away
Is your silence only to hide
how you really feel?
Is your silence to protect me
from the truth?
So I write myself to sleep
Because I'm afraid to tell you how I feel
That look in your eyes you seem miles away
I'd love to find you, will I ever find you?
Is your silence only to hide
how you really feel?
Is your silence to protect me
from the truth?
I can't hear you when you’re silent, I can't hear you
I can't hear you when you’re silent, I can't hear you
