<< What's New With Divine Regale: Winter 1998 >>

Well, they say no news is good news, but in reality, there has been nothing new to report here in New Hampshire. The highlight of the year for us has been moving our practice space into the basement of Chris' new home. Finally, rent free practice again (and only a 20-minute commute)!

Our singer search is still on going. We've had several promising auditions, but we still want to investigate all the talent that's out there. So, again if you or someone you know would be interested in trying out, have them contact Gary Leighton at 603-743-1430. Ideally, we're looking for a vocalist similar to those in the following: Marillion, Peter Gabriel, Dishwalla, Jars of Clay.

Our writing has been progressing smoothly. We now have more songs in the "finished" column of our bulletin board than in the "still needs work column." We've been writing steadily and will continue to do so, so we will have many songs to pick from when it comes time to record. In order to generate some feedback on our new material and in hopes of attracting a new singer we are gearing up to play some shows. We will be advertising for these as soon as we have them booked. We are also in the process of exploring the possibility of uploading some sound files of our "unfinished work" to the website for you to peruse once we get our music software up and running. Keep checking in for more information.

In Other News...

The culmination of a year of hard work for Jason manifests itself in the form of the new Fates Warning double live CD: Still Life. Check out Jason covering the keyboards for APSOG (disk 1), At Fates Hands (disk 2) and We Only Say Goodbye (disk 2). Recorded during the second European leg of their APSOG tour, Still Life released in the US on October 6.

Congratulations to Chris and Hollie on their purchase of a new home and a new dog!

The Bravery Award goes to Gary who took the big step and cut off all his hair after many years!

Newly-Weds Jason and Rachel were married on October 30. A London and Paris honeymoon followed.

Frank has added a Ned Steinberger 5-String upright and a Chapman Stick to his axe collection.

Though Brad Pitt beat him out for the part of Death in Meet Joe Black, Dan celebrated his narrow loss with a trip to our nation's capital where he gave Bill Clinton some "good lovin'".

Gazpacho News...

Given the response that Gazpacho has gotten from local fans, our cover band is hoping to upgrade to bigger and better things. In anticipation of some larger shows, Gazpacho will be integrating Frank into the band to cover the bass and give them a bigger sound. Here are our gigs so far for the upcoming year:

January 2, 1999 Central Ave Saloon, Dover NH.
January 9, 1999 The Loft at Strafford Farms, Dover NH.
January 15,1999 Kelley's Bar and Grill, Dover NH.

February 20, 1999 Central Ave. Saloon
March 25, 1999 The Loft at Strafford Farms
So, we're hoping that things will pick up soon and we'll be able to update the page more frequently. Thanks for your patience and that's the news from here!
