Ocean Mind marks DR's debut Metal Blade release. The album was recorded and mixed between Summer 1995 and early Spring 1997 at Metropolis Studio in Middleton, Massachusetts. Divine Regale and Jim Lightman produced Horizons. Jim Lightman engineered and mixed the recordings and was assisted by John Shipp, Claire Steger and Kurt Gould. Ocean Mind was mastered by Henk Kooistra at 9 West. The official album release came in June, 1997. At the time of the recording, Divine Regale consisted of: Dwight Hill (vocals), Jason Keazer (keyboards), Daniel Elliott (guitars), Gary Leighton (guitars), Frank Couture (bass) and Chris Anderson (drums & backing vocals).
