<< What's New With Divine Regale: Winter 2000 >>

Well, Y2K has come and gone, yet we remain. If you needed more concrete proof that the world was not going to end, then you've come to the wrong place!

HE HAS ARRIVED...

Congratulations to Chris and Hollie who welcomed their son Calin Michael Anderson into the world on the Ides of March (March 15 to you non-MacBeth fans out there...) at 6:15pm EST. Vital signs were good and he weighed 8.5 lbs. Both parents and son are doing fine. We're very happy for them all!

The Demos 2000: Cycles Of Life

We are pleased to present the first batch of demos from the next DR studio album. We have been working hard at "The Wood Room" and have three new completed songs as well as pieces and ideas for the rest of the record. Our working title for the album is Cycles of Life and the songs are titled: Only Thing I Know, Odyssey and Let Me Down. We've been focused on these songs for the past several months (even though many of the basics were written years ago) and we hope you like what you hear. We're shooting to begin recording the album sometime this summer and release before the end of the year. Head over to the Sounds section of the site to check the samples out. Please drop us a line and let us know what you think!

The "Other Demos"

For those of you who are wondering what happened to the last two batches of demos that we put up last year and then pulled, we will be promoting them as a totally separate project in the coming months. We had another side that we wanted to express (and needed to express to get where we are now...), but in the end have decided that it didn't fit with what DR is all about. One Chance may pop up on the record though, so keep checking in for updates!

What's New With Chris: Maternity Leave

Break out the cigars! As of February 26, 2000 we will be on maternity leave. Chris and his wife Hollie will be welcoming their brand new son into the world on or around the 11th of March. No, we won't be doing any live video feeds from the birthing room, but we will post the news here as soon as we get it!

What's New With Jason: Live At The Dynamo

Jason's second release with Fates Warning, Fates Warning: Live at the Dynamo hit the shelves in VHS and DVD format on February 22nd. Recorded in May of 1998 at the Dynamo Open Air Festival in Eindhoven, Netherlands, the video is a totally live, uncut and unedited version of their performance. Their set featured a portion of A Pleasant Shade Of Grey as well as other Fates favorites: The Eleventh Hour, Point of View, Monument and We Only Say Goodbye. Jason is especially glad to finally have another copy of the show, since his sister Annie and Frank somehow managed to record three hours of DooM over his original.

What's New With Gary: Road Runner

Gary is putting the rest of the band to shame with his new high-speed cable Internet connection. At last check, a file that took Jason 20 minutes to download at 56K took Gary less than a second. Rest assured that Gary is putting this blazing speed to good use on sites such as www.BiteMe.com and www.porno-warehouse.com.

What's New With Frank and Dan: Hooray For Hollywood

Rumor has it that Frank and Dan are hard at work on a screenplay. The veil of secrecy surrounding this project is making it hard to get details, but sources say that it looks to be the next GoodWill Hunting. Casting is still in progress, but the filmmakers are saying they plan to use relative "unknowns" rather than big name stars. Check your local theater listings for a future showing near you!

The Website Overhaul

During our maternity leave, we will be attempting to do an overhaul of the website. Things to look forward to include: new pictures, updated bios, DR trivia and some other goodies!

The Cover Band Overhaul

In addition to the webpage overhaul, Gazpacho will be undergoing an overhaul as well. Due to overwhelming crowd response to tunes like: Jesse's Girl, Tainted Love, Wanted Dead Or Alive and 867-5309 (Jenny) we will be converting to an all 80s format. To help get the most out of this distinctive decade of sound Frank will be joining the band to cover bass. We will be debuting this as-of-yet-unnamed-band in early spring, so flip up your collar, feather your hair, throw on your sequined glove and come check us out.

That's the latest from this neck of the woods, we hope you enjoy the new samples!
