Well, the New Year is upon us, and though 1997 was a good year for DR, we are looking forward to bigger and better things in 1998.
To start, we have recovered from our second tour with Fates Warning. Once again, it was an amazing experience all around. A big thanks to Eric Henson and our crew for helping things to go smoothly. Thanks again to Fates and their crew for all their help in making the tour a big success. Thanks to the many folks who took the time to stop and say hello. It was especially nice to get to meet a lot of new people in places we have never been.
A Look Ahead...
With the tour over, it's back to work for us. We're busy writing new music and hope to get in the studio by late spring, early summer. If things go well, we would like to have our next album ready for a fall/early winter release. Keep your fingers crossed (we sure are).
Also In The Works For 1998...
- Obviously, we hope to do some live performing. There are rumors of possible local opening slots for Savatage. Jason will be heading to Europe with Fates Warning in April to help record their upcoming double live album. As well, we hope to do some local shows for our friends and anyone who can reach us.
- They're Back!!! After their first attempt at a reunion was squashed by some of Dover's finest, our acoustic cover band "Gazpacho" decided that it was time to stage a comeback. To the delight of fans all over Dover, the first show of their reunion tour will take place on February 14 (Valentine's day for all you lovers out there...) at the World Famous Central Ave. Saloon. This will be followed by a second Dover date on March 6 at Kelley's Bar and Grill. Put on your dancing shoes and come have some drinks (it's not often that you get to see a signed band forced to play other peoples tunes)!!!!
- Dwight and his fiancee Kristi will be tying the knot on May 24.
- Jason and his wife-to-be Rachel will be getting married on October 30.
(That's three down, three to go!!!)
